Our soft fruit in to-go packaging is handy when you’re on the way, at work or having a day out. You’ll find it on the shelves of retailers such as Albert Heijn and HEMA.
As soon as they are cut the asparagus spears are trimmed and peeled ready for consumption. This tedious job used to be done by hand, but now we have the most up-to-date machinery. The spears are then sold on to wholesalers and restaurants.
Brabantsche Wal Asparagus has a slightly salty tang that sets it apart from other asparagus. This unique taste is due to the combination of pure groundwater from the Kalmthoutse Heide (Heath) flowing underground towards Zeeland and salty sea air blowing over the Brabantsche Wal when the wind is from the west. We not only grow and process Brabantsche Wal Asparagus, we also produce and distribute specialities, such as yoghurt with mixed blue and black fruit, and red fruit in small to-go packaging.
Op de grens van hoog op laag groeien de lekkerste asperges; de Brabantse Wal Asperges. Maar hoe worden deze nou precies geteeld?
